We love, love, love cauliflower in all it’s avatars in our family! This recipe is quick, easy and finger licking good. You can come up with your variations of the spices you use, but as long as you have the oil, crushed ginger and salt, you’ll be fine (IMHO) 😉
SOOKHI GOBHI
/ Spiced, Crispy Cauliflower
/ Serves 4 as a side
Cauliflower / 1 decent sized head
Ginger / Crushed 2 tbsp
Salt 1/2 tsp
Garam masala 1/2 tsp *
Chickpea Flour 1 tsp
Oil 2 tbsp
Cut the cauliflower into decent sized pieces.
Mix all the other ingredients in a big bowl & mix well.
Add the cauliflower pieces in mix till all the pieces are well coated with the spices.
Heat the oven to 180 degrees.
Lay the cauliflower on a sheet, trying not to overlap the pieces.
Bake in a fan forced oven for 20 minutes, or until the pieces are a lovely golden brown.
Bring out the sheet midway, to flip the pieces.
Serve hot with roti and daal!
* I also use love a good pinch of Sumac in here! 🙂
